There are a few things you should know about me before we get to know each other.

1) My name is Amber. I have an anxiety disorder, depression, and borderline personality disorder. I’m a bit of a tweaker, thus why I’ve created this blog to catalog my journey to leading a less stressful life. Because really, at this point, my life is just one big panic attack.

2) I’m 27 years old, and I haven’t moved out of my parents’ house yet. It’s not for lack of effort, believe me. And while I get along with my parents very well, it would be nice to have my own place, but… that requires money.

3) I am a strong Christian. But while my faith may be strong, I want it to be stronger. I feel like I don’t have as much faith as I should have, and that is also part of my journey to de-stressing and being more confident that everything will be alright. As this blog grows, hopefully my faith and trust in God will grow too.

4) I’m single, and have been all my life. Keep in mind I’m 27, and I’ve gone on a total of two dates in my lifetime. Neither were successful. However, it’s a blessing in a way; I have been so busy worrying about everything that I really haven’t taken time to work on myself. I haven’t taken a step back to find out who I am. I’ve been too busy thinking about who I want to be.

I guess there’s a lot I need to work on, and I hope all who read this will take this journey with me. Maybe some people will even be helped by it as they struggle with their own anxiety issues. I can’t promise immediate results, and I can’t promise that I won’t whine, panic, rant or generally freak out. This blog isn’t meant to be a self-help book in the making.
